On November 29, 2024, at the premises of MKC (Youth Cultural Center) in Skopje, the regional digital platform “Creative Gate” was officially presented as part of the PIN Music Conference.
Created by the EXIT Foundation and the Taksirat Festival, “Creative Gate” is part of the “Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans” (CC4WBs) project, funded by the European Union. This innovative platform is designed as a catalyst for the development of cultural and creative industries, encouraging dialogue and enhancing socio-economic impacts in the region.
With “Creative Gate,” culture gains a new space for growth and development through networking, collaboration, and shared successes. This platform is created to support every step of creatives from the region, providing them a space where their ideas can be transformed into significant projects.
At the press conference, inspiring words about the purpose and vision of the platform were shared by: Clare Sears, Director for the Western Balkans, British Council; Alma Mrgan-Slipičević from UNESCO; Ida Siljanović from the EXIT Foundation; Miloš Gjuroski, representative of Represent Communications Skopje, who spoke about the development and design of the platform; Ramona Monja Kočiška from the Taksirat Festival and host of the PIN Music Conference.
The Creative Gate is supported by the British Council and UNESCO, with a shared mission to create a sustainable and inclusive creative ecosystem, placing cultural heritage and innovation as foundations for regional cooperation.
